Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead

An annual tradition in our Family Support Department is to create a Day of the Dead altar with our participants to reflect on the lives of those we have lost and share this cultural celebration with our community. Due to COVID our family center space is very quite these days and we miss the laughter of children and the connections among parents. Despite these challenging times, our staff have upheld this tradition and are sharing this celebration virtually! Join us in reflecting on the people in our lives who have passed away. This year, we dedicate our altar to the 220,000+ people who have passed away from COVID here in the United States. 2020 has been a very challenging year, but we choose to take this time to remember the days of love, laughter and togetherness that our families brought through our doors each day.   Learn more about this cultural celebration here!
