Shoreline Substance Abuse Drug Court Treatment Program
The Drug Court Treatment Program offers a full spectrum of Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Treatment services for adults who are referred to treatment from King County Drug Court. Recognizing that there are specific issues for clients with legal problems, our Drug Court Program is separate from our OP or IOP Programs for the general populations. If a defendant is eligible for the King County Drug Court process and he/she opts into drug court, he/she signs a waiver giving up his/her right to trial and stipulating to the police report.

In lieu of incarceration, the defendant agrees to participate in drug treatment. Treatment requires that the client attend a minimum of 10 months of treatment sessions, attend three sober support meetings a week, and have two random and observed urinalysis drug tests per week. If the defendant meets the requirements of each of the four phases of King County Drug Court, he/she graduates from the program and his/her charges are dismissed. If unable to meet Drug Court requirements (including treatment requirements), the client is terminated from Drug Court and sentenced on his/her original charge.
