Family Support focuses on achieving the following outcomes through
our programming:
- People acquire/improve English language literacy skills
- Parents, guardians and caregivers acquire/strengthen parenting
skills
- Young children are prepared to enter kindergarten
- Parents, guardians and caregivers increase interaction with
their children
- Parents, guardians and caregivers participate in their
children's learning
- Students develop/strengthen skills and/or habits that support
academic success
- Families are involved in the community
- Families utilize community resources
To achieve these outcomes for families, adults and children, Family
Support provides the following services and activities:
- Early childhood education
- After-school/summer academic enrichment activities
- Youth and family leadership opportunities
- Community events and festivals
- Free child care for families attending Family Support, Substance
Abuse and Loving Families groups
